Corsair K70 RGB

Switches:

MX Red, MX Speed, MX Silent, MX Brown

About:

The Corsair K70 RGB is Corsair's most popular RGB keyboard, its a full sized RGB keyboard. The RGB profile is stored on the users machine not on the keyboard itself. Some users reported of double clicking and keyboards arriving with missing key-caps (But the number of reviews mentioning QC issues is noticeably less than the k95) You can change the polling rate. Sadly the thick cable is not detachable. The keyboard has 4 legs ( 2 on the bottom 2 on the top, very unique, not sure if useful) consider the strafe instead to save money.

Pros:

  • Built in Reversible wrist rest
  • Dedicated media keys
  • Most custmizable software for lighting.
  • RGB backlight
  • Volume wheel

Cons:

  • Non standard bottom row
  • QC issues
  • RGB models take up 2 USB slots to have all the functions work!
  • Some have found corsairs software to be buggy and meh
  • Thick cable that's non detachable

Additional Comments:

  • Consider going for a Ducky keyboard as they aim for the same market.
  • cool floating key design.
  • Corsair seemed to be including the reviews for different corsair keyboards on the same page so be aware of that, the negative QC issues of one model may have affected others, still does not seem to be really worth the risk
  • For corsair keyboards and the other gaming big names it was harder to find good video reviews from independent keyboard geeks and more from channel's like LinusTechTips so that limited the info I have
  • Some gamers like the Cherry MX Speed switch better than Cherry MX Red switches but its mainly considered a meme, could be placebo.
  • Someone please tell me if the 4 legs are actually useful
  • The MX speed version is called the k70 RGB Rapid Fire all other versions are just called the k70 LUX RGB
