Magicforce Qisan

Heads up this keyboard uses clone switches!

Switches:

MX Brown, MX Blue

About:

The Magicforce Qisan is an interesting keyboard, its basically a %65 but with 4 extra keys. It features the same kind of floating key design as Corasair's keyboards. It uses OUTEMU clones switches, which are a questionable and unpopular Cherry MX clone, a version with Gateron brown switches and a black case exists but is almost twice as expensive as the regular version. Some users had an issue with sometimes not being able to register 3 key presses at the same time, so it would be wise to avoid if you're serious about gaming, (it should be noted that the keyboard is advertised as 4 key roll-over) The ALT key is in a weird place. Some modifier keys do not work together like CTRL + a function key which may bug some programmers. Some users reported keystrokes not registering when bottoming out sometimes. Some users complained that space-bar feels strange to press. Some users units fail within 2 months. Surprisingly the keyboard is mac friendly and comes with a key-cap puller. Also has a removable cable. The keyboard features a standard bottom row so it should be possible to replace them with aftermarket key-caps in case you don't like the edgy gamer font on the standard key-caps. Owners of the Gateron Switch equipped keyboard seemed much happier but that version has 3 times less reviews. Some versions of the keyboard have back light. However the back lighting makes a slight hmm when dimmed. Some users complained about a space-bar being sticky. The keyboard has windows lock.

Pros:

  • Comes with a key-cap puller
  • Detachable cable
  • Has a windows lock feature so you wont mess up your games
  • hould be possible to replace key-caps
  • Mac friendly
  • One of the cheapest keyboards that has a white back plate
  • One of the cheapest ways to get a small keyboard
  • Very unique layout

Cons:

  • Can't combine some keys
  • Limited key roll over
  • QC issues

Additional Comments:

  • “The Magicforce”, that's a cool name isn't it?
  • You Get what you pay for, if it breaks its cheap enough to just grab another one
