Matias Quiet Pro

Switches:

Matias Linear

About:

The Matias Quite Pro is a full sized keyboard (also offered in a strange TKL-ish shape), the tag line for the keyboard is “The World's Quietest Mechanical Keyboard” so its pretty good for office use. Available in both a windows and mac version exist. The mac version actually uses the Matias Quite click switches instead of the normal quite switches. The windows version has low number of reviews, I wonder if mac users like quietness more? The mac version has a unique sliver case which matches the colors of the mac computers. The cable it comes with is only 3 feet long. The keyboard uses high profile key-caps which some may find uncomfortable or fatiguing. Some complained about the keys wobbling. Apparently the rubber feet on all Matias keyboards seem to fail easily. Uses a plastic case which may be bad form at this price point. Some reports of QC issues. Glossy frame may lead to finger prints being all over the place

Pros:

  • Good for the Office
  • High profile key-caps
  • Quite
  • Slick Looks

Cons:

  • Finger print magnet
  • Plastic Case
  • Pricey
  • QC issues
  • Short cable

Additional Comments:

  • A MATIAS REPERSENTITVE SAID THAT NORMAL KEYBOARDS ARE ONLY SUPPOSED TO LAST A YEAR ANYWAS (https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R38U84GBVVR54C/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B003N3HFI6)
  • Most reviewers did not like the switch as they expected something like a Cherry MX Red or the Cherry silent switch
