Varmilio VA87M

Switches:

MX Red, MX Black, MX Brown, MX Blue

About:

The Varmilio 87 is a TKL keyboard made by, you guessed it Varmilio. This keyboard appears to be available in a near infinite amount of colors (including some very funky 2 tone styles) and a vast number of switches, all of which appear to be LED backlit. The reviews seemed scattered across 18+ different models! A wireless version exists but according to an amazon notice Varmillio has stopped making the wireless version so if you want one you should grab one quickly! The battery-life on the wireless version seem to last an extremely long time. The wireless model has no off switch, you need to use the functions keys to do it, I assume afterwards to turn it on you need to plug it back in? The cable on the wired version is a bit short at around 5 feet in length. The keyboard is heavy and wont slide off or move. The keyboard features a wire routing system. Some keyboards come with extra textured WASD key caps for free. The PBT key-caps legends are side printed (along with the 2nd function) apparently the included key-cap puller may not work? shipping estimates say 6 weeks but it can often be shorter.

Pros:

  • Funky 2 tone designs are an option
  • Heavy
  • Side printed key-caps are really cool
  • Wide variety of switches and colors
  • Wireless version has long battery-life
  • Wire management system

Cons:

  • Bluetooth model discontinued
  • Cable is short
  • key-cap puller may not work?
  • No off switch on the Bluetooth model

Additional Comments:
